The purpose of this research was to study on dyeing of eri silk yarn from yanang leaves. The yanang leaves was optimally extracted with water for dyeing at the ratio of 1:5. Eri silk yarn was dyed with yanang leaves extract at 100 °C for 75 min. Mordanting was done by using three different mordanting methods, pre-mordanting, meta-mordanting, and post-mordanting. The dyed eri silk yarn was measured color strength and fastness tests. The results found that the mordants produced a variety of color shades. The fastness properties of the unmordanted yanang leaves dyed eri silk yarn improved with the application of mordants.en_US
